The challenge
The deck soffit had to be held at an exact level while the ground below varied, and the support had to stay stable under construction traffic.
The solution
- Shoring frames and props to build the support towers
- Base jacks to absorb the ground slope and level the towers
- U-head jacks to set the soffit height precisely
- Bracing for lateral stability
The result
The formwork stayed level and stable through the pour, and the modular components were reused on adjacent spans, cutting cost per span.
