Round tube (CHS)
Circular hollow section carries load evenly from any direction and resists twisting well. It is common for scaffolding, columns and exposed structures where appearance matters.
Square and rectangular (SHS/RHS)
Flat faces make square and rectangular tube easy to bolt, weld and connect to other flat members, which speeds up steel framing and bracket fixing.
