How Adjustable Screw Jacks Level Scaffolding on Uneven Ground

Real construction sites are rarely flat. Adjustable screw jacks let you build a level, plumb scaffold on sloped or uneven ground.

Why leveling matters

If the base of a scaffold is not level, load is shared unevenly between legs and the structure can lean. Screw jacks at the base take up the difference so every leg carries its share.

How to set them

  • Place each base jack on a firm sole board
  • Thread up the low side until the frame is level
  • Keep at least the recommended thread engaged in the nut
  • Avoid over-extending a single jack on steep slopes

Pair with U-heads

For shoring, combine base jacks below with U-head jacks above for full top-and-bottom adjustment. We offer both with custom thread lengths.
